What you have to do

Cracking the vault is what wins it. These four are how we know who you are and how we reach you. They are free, and none of them costs anything.

1. Follow the account — So we can reply to you.
2. Like the launch post — That is the whole ask.
3. Comment the lock you got stuck on — A number, 1 to 12. It is more fun than "done".
4. DM DONE and the name you played under — That is your entry. The name is how we pick you out of the leaderboard.

The account is @bba.network. Bonus: share it to your story and tag us. Not required.

Being top is not enough on its own. The prize goes to the highest-placed player who did the four things above. If first place did not enter, it goes to the next one down who did, and we say so publicly.

You choose a name before your first run and it goes on every run you play. Send that same name in the DM — that is how a message in an inbox gets matched to a row on the board.

A name belongs to whoever takes it first. Once you have played under one, nobody else can use it, and your own browser remembers that it is yours. Clear your browser data or move to another device and you will be asked to pick again — the old name stays yours, and it stays on the board.

We check the one person who wins — the follow, the like, the comment and the DM. Nothing is checked on anybody who does not win.

What "one-page website" means

So there is no argument about it later, this is exactly what a winner gets:

• One page: what you do, your work or products, and a contact form that reaches you.
• Your words and your images, placed properly. Written from what you send us.
• Deployed and live — on a domain you own, or on a free address we set up.
• The code in a repository that is yours to keep.
• One round of changes after you see it.

Not included: a shop or payments, logins, more pages, ongoing changes, the domain fee itself, or anything else. Those are quoted separately, in writing, before anything starts. Nothing is charged automatically and there is no subscription.

The boring bits

• Runs are replayed on our server before a code is issued. The page never sends a score, so a made-up one cannot be sent.
• A run submitted faster than it could have been played is refused.
• Open to anyone 18 or over. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
• We contact the winner at the email left on the winning screen, and reply to their DM. Nothing back within 24 hours and it goes to the next person who cracked it.
• Your handle and email are used to give you the prize and nothing else. They are deleted when the giveaway ends.
• This giveaway is run by BBA Production. It is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram, and Instagram has nothing to do with it.
